The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun has assured members of the Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries in the State, that he will serve well and take the Civil/Public Service to an enviable height.
Mr. Fagbohun, who stated this as a Special Guest during the 2023 first general meeting of the Association, at the Obas' Complex Conference Hall, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, said he would continue to build on the foundation laid by the forebears and pay them back with due diligence for their support and selfless service to the State.
He stated that effort is ongoing to review the Public Service Rules and ways to improve the productivity of workers, promising to continue to make his line of communication open, with a call on the Association to get in touch with his Office, when the need arises.
"I want to thank you all for your support over the years, for not abandoning the Service. The only way I can pay back is to serve you well and better. We will continue to build on the foundation you have laid and your legacies in Ogun Civil Service will forever be remembered", the HoS said.
Speaking earlier, Chairman of the Association, Engr. Adeniyi Abiola, appreciated the presence of the new Head of Service at the meeting, which he said would continue to strengthen them to do more for the Service and the State in general.
Also speaking, an elder Statesman, Chief Oluneye Okuboyejo, appreciated the Head of Service for associating with them, assuring him of their cooperation in the task to move the State and Service forward.
Highlight of the meeting was observance of one-minute silence for departed members.
In attendance were past Heads of Service including Surv. Godwin Ogun, Elder Sola Adeyemi, Tpl. Amope Chokor and Alhaja Selimot Ottun.
