EXPECT MORE ENDURING PROJECTS, IJEBU NORTH CHAIRMAN ASSURES RESIDENTS

 



          The Chairman, Ijebu North Local Government Area of  Ogun State, Hon. Bolaji Odusanya has assured residents, particularly those in Ijebu Igbo and its environs to expect more enduring developmental projects that would promote their standard of living and improve socio-economic well-being.


          Hon. Odusanya gave the assurance during an interview with the Zonal Information Officers in his Office at Ijebu Igbo, saying his administration had resolved to impact lives through the provision of feasible projects that would be beneficial to the people at the grassroots.


          He pointed out that since the inception of his government, he had embarked on various projects such as; the reconstruction of open stall and lock-up shops at Atikori and Ojoo Market, construction of a block of two classrooms at Nawar-ud-deen Primary School, Ago-Iwoye, reconstruction of Abattoir with modern toilet facilities at Obada Market, among others.


          Giving an account of his stewardship, Hon. Odusanya said the council also evacuated a refuse dump site that had been constituting health hazards to the residents for over 20 years in Ago Iwoye market and its environs, adding that his administration was currently constructing an ultra-modern multipurpose hall at the Local Government.


          According to him, "I can assure our people that many more projects are still in the pipeline. As a government at the local level, we embarked on these projects to boost the living standard of our people, promote trading and commercial activities among women and men at the grassroots. We will not rest on our oars, as we plan to embark on more meaningful projects very soon".


          The Chairman stated that plans are underway to grade more roads, provide boreholes for public use, renovate schools in Ojowo, Oke-Sopin and many more.
