The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has fixed the 2023 Hajj fare at N2,999million.

  Making the announcement in a release signed by the Executive Secretary of the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Salau Dauda, said all intending pilgrims willing to embark on Holy pilgrimage through the State should prepare to pay the hajj fare as announced by NAHCON, so as to be part of the yearly target.

  He noted that additional N30,000 only which stands for other logistics or charges that were not captured in the final Hajj fare would be paid separately by all intending pilgrims to ensure a hitch-free Hajj operation in the Holy land, adding that the fare was inclusive of Basic Travelling Allowance (BTA) of Eight Hundred Dollars for all intending pilgrims.

  He enjoined all intending pilgrims to hasten up payment of their outstanding hajj fare balance of  N2.999M  as deadline for payment has been fixed for 21st April, 2023, urging them to submit all necessary documents as soon as possible for seamless documentation.

  Salau assured that priority would be given to those who could not perform last year's hajj, saying the exercise would be on a first come, first served basis.
