Staffers of the Ogun State Hospitals Management Board (HMB) have been charged to make total commitment to duty their guiding principle in order to enhance higher work place productivity.
The charge was made by the Permanent secretary of the Board, Dr. Nike Elemide during an ongoing monitoring and evaluation exercise at the General Hospital, Owode- Egba, where she advised the staff of the government facility to be more diligent and focused on their duties individually and collectively, adding that this would further ensure a better health care delivery for the people of the area and the state at large.
Represented by the Director, Planning Research and Statistics of the Board, Dr. Wellington Ogunsanya, Elemide said government would continue to ensure a conducive work environment for health workers, saying ‘’continuous renovation works were ongoing in virtually all the health facilities, staffers therefore should contribute their quota in bringing government efforts to the spotlight’’.
During the exercise, the team conducted a thorough inspection of all the equipment and all other facilities of the hospital in order to ascertain their efficiency and to also identify challenges experienced by workers while carrying out their duties.
The Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Temitope Yemibo-Sofolahan appreciated the management team for the visit, while promising to uphold the mission of the board.
