A former Head of Service in Ogun State, Elder Sola Adeyemi, has admonished civil and public servants to maintain a high standard of good conduct during and after service.
Elder Adeyemi gave the charge at a retirement and birthday thanksgiving service organised in honour of the Director of Fishery in Ogun State Agricultural Development Project (OGADEP), Mr. Femi Kudoro, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Adigbe, Abeokuta.
Adeyemi urged the celebrant to continue to be upright and maintain the good testimonials of people about him, as this would enable him to remain indelible in their minds.
In his submission, former Secretary to the State Government in the state and Chairman, Ogun State Civil Service Commission, Prince Babatunde Oshokoya, charged the celebrant to keep up his warm character even after retirement, noting that his generosity and act of imparting knowledge to others would continue to linger in people’s memory.
Speaking earlier, the State Chairman, Association of Senior Civil Servants (ASCS), Ogun State branch, Comrade Olude Isa Owolabi, said the retired Director served meritoriously as the Unit Chairman of the association in OGADEP and without blemish for eight years, by making sure that welfare of members was protected during his tenure.
In his message titled, "This one Life", the Pastor in charge of Ogun Province 1, RCCG, Pastor Olayiwola Abiodun, said life is full of opportunities and people have the choice to choose what they want to be known for during and after retirement.
Responding, the celebrant, Mr. Kudoro, who thanked God for sparing his life to witness the age of retirement from service, appreciated his family, friends and well-wishers for coming to honour him on the special occasion.
