The Senatorial Elections have come and gone. I have called and congratulated the declared winner (Otunba Gbenga Daniel). This was done in the spirit of good sportsmanship.
Comrades, we fought a good fight, we gave a good account of ourselves. We evidenced that we were willing to serve our people in tandem with the true meaning of "service", but the declared results removed the authority of such from us. We wish the 'winner' every success.
In any contest, I either win or learn. This particular election has taught me new lessons. To my detriment, I ignored obvious first class betrayal and unreliability from close associates and pernicious intentions of political jobbers.
You must have noticed that my name was(is) conspicuously missing from those who contested in Ogun East. Secondly, is it by share coincidence that SDP was awarded or allocated 10% of APC's "votes"?
Thirdly, some of the results on INEC portal are a total departure from what actually obtained at the polling units.
Before the elections, we were told that our votes will count and results will be transmitted to the portal from the polling units, what happened?
Fellow Compatriots, I wish to thank you all for your support through this journey, I cannot thank you enough, all I can ask is for God to reward you abundantly. I couldn't have gone through the political landmines without your unflinching support and resolute belief in me. E se pupo, Nagode, Daalu.
The journey is far from over, let's maintain our sincerity of purpose and convergence of interest! Tomorrow is another day, may God grant us life with good health.
A JU SE OOOO
