In his usual manner of fulfilling promises made to the people, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, this evening presented official cars to the 4 Principals- General from the four divisions of the State.
Making the presentation at the Governor's Office car park, Governor Abiodun, represented by the Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro, congratulated the recipients and added that their dedication to duty and forthrightness in discharging their duties as Principals General won them this kind gesture from the government.
Gov. Abiodun urged them to see this as a call to more service in order to keep delivering optimally to the educational sector of the State.
On his part, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu appreciated the governor for proving that he is a man of his words, as the gesture is another promise kept by his administration.
He noted that the governor resuscitated the position when he came on board and their welfare is paramount to him, hence, this beautiful way of putting smiles to their faces.
Also speaking, the Chairman, Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Evang. Olalekan Ifede, appreciated the governor for making his word his bond by taking the teaching profession to another level in the State, as the four of them would be the first set to receive official cars.
Also speaking, the President, All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) and his counterpart from the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS), Mr. Adeniyi Adekoya and Dr. Felix Agbesanwa, appreciated the governor for making the teachers happy and pledged continued support towards the success of his administration.
They also commended him for living up to his bidding as 'Omo baba tisa', as this administration has done a lot to better the lives of its teaching and non-teaching staff.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Principal General for Ijebu Division, Mrs. Olaitan Adeyemi, appreciated the governor for being wonderful and gracious to them, by making the presentation a reality in their time.
The recipients are Mr. Owodunni Odukoya, Remo; Mrs. Olaitan Adeyemi, Ijebu; Mr. Sunday Orobiyi, Yewa and Mr. Oluniyi Sobulo from the Egba Division.
