The Ministry of Transportation wishes to announce that His Excellency the Governor Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, will preside over the official operation of the first-ever test flights at the Gateway International Agro Cargo Airport located along the Iperu - Ilishan Road in Ikenne LGA on Thursday, February 23, 2023. 

This milestone achievement underscores the State's determination to work with the private sector and faithfully implement the State’s Strategic Multi-modal Transport Master Plan prepared in conjunction with the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Olabisi Onabanjo University towards developing the necessary transportation infrastructure and services network needed to support the growth and development of the Ogun State economy whilst assuring the prosperity of residents and workers in the state.

The Transport Master Plan development was based on -

i) the need to meet the economic and industrial ambition of the state

ii) the need to provide safe and affordable accessibility and mobility options to citizens, businesses and industry

iii) need to provide inter regional and international connectivity for the movement of people and goods into and out of Ogun State.

Members of the public are enjoined to renew their commitments to meeting personal and corporate obligations necessary to achieve and sustain a thriving and peaceful Ogun State.
