Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp has hailed the performance of Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford’s this season under Erik ten Hag.
The England international scored again on Saturday as Manchester United beat Crystal Palace 2-1 to keep their spot in the top four of the Premier League table.
The winger has now scored a total of 19 goals and made eight assists in 31 games for Ten Hag’s Red Devils this season and this is in contrast to last campaign, where he only managed four goals in 25 Premier League appearances.
Addressing the press at the weekend, Klopp cited Rashford as an example of how his own struggling players can completely turn their performances around.
Liverpool suffered another shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of Wolves on Saturday as the Reds kept sliding down the Premier League table.
He said, “One of the best examples is probably Marcus Rashford. The season he had last year and the season he is having this year, I’m not sure he can explain it. Of course,
“Erik ten Hag coming in, a new voice, a different approach, all of these things [can make a difference]. It’s not like Marcus didn’t want to deliver last year, I’m pretty sure about that.
But now he is flying…”
