Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS), has tasked its workers across the State to be guided by the principles of Proper Planning, which Prevents Poor Performance (5Ps).
The Executive Chairman of OGIRS, Olugbenga Olaleye stated this during a thanksgiving session heralding the first working day of the year 2023 at OGIRS Headquarter, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Olaleye, represented by the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Revenue, Rev. Jide Sanwo, who doubles as a preacher for the day, said it was essential for the staffers to align with the agency’s vision, towards surpassing the 2023 revenue target, added that the State government was poised to support the agency with needed infrastructure to succeed.
The Executive Chairman who spoke from the book of Psalms 32 verse 8, enjoined members of staff to commit their job to the hands of God, saying ’’as nothing can be achieved without Him’’.
Also speaking, an Islamic Cleric, Alhaji Olayemi Kamardeen advised the staffers to share knowledge that would help the agency to achieve more in the new year, while Mr. Omotola Oluwole who responded on behalf of the other workers in the agency pledged their readiness to work harder.
