BE AGENTS OF POSITIVE CHANGE, EDUCATION MINISTRY STAFFERS TOLD



Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu has admonished the staffers in the Ministry to see themselves as agents of positive change, to impact their working and communal environments respectively.


Prof. Arigbabu gave the admonition in Abeokuta during a prayer session on the first working day of the year 2023, encouraging them to continue to put in their best in any assignment they are given for them to be marked for excellence.


He said awards and rewards were inevitable for any officer that proves to be outstanding in the daily discharge of his or her duties, assuring that capacity building training and workshops would be organised to further improve the efficiency of the officers for better productivity.


Arigbabu said, "God has a way of rewarding diligence, if you do your work with total sense of responsibility, you can be recommended for higher post. The indolent ones should change for good this year”.


The Commissioner appreciated the people for their cooperation and support since his appointment, urging them to be careful and comport themselves as the nation moves towards electioneering period.


In her address, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Abosede Ogunleye expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to witness the new year, enjoining members of staff to maximise their potentials, abide by the rules and regulations guiding the Civil Service, be punctual and discharge their duties passionately.


Delivering the new year messages in Christian and Islamic ways, Mr. Paul Adekunle and Mr. Azeez Adeniji respectively, implored staffers of the Ministry to be good ambassadors and avoid any act of misconduct, noting that spirits of comradeship and love were needed for a progressive work environment.
