The Premier Local Government, Abeokuta South has inaugurated 2,225 local government indigenes of the state placed on social welfare package by the State Government.
Five vulnerable indigenes were picked from each community in the local government.
The inauguration which took place on Thursday at the local Government Secretariat, Ake, had in attendance clergy men, community leaders, artisans and politicians.
The chairman of the party (APC) Hon. Adetunji Henry Fagbenro while speaking with newsmen commended the current administration led by Prince Dapo Abiodun for the programme, saying that it will enable the beneficiaries to have sense of belongings.
He urged the beneficiaries to ensure they cast their votes for Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun in 2023, adding that the Governor is doing all his possible best to take the state to a greater height.
Meanwhile, the council chairman , Hon. Omolaja Majekodunmi assured that the current administration will continue to remember them for good and will not fail them.
He congratulated them and urged them to continue to support the current administration led by Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Also the chairman alternate medicine, Ogun State, Chief Nurudeen Olaleye, the Awo Erin of Egbaland kingdom who was also present at the inauguration maintained that the programme will help in the sustainability of the local government indigenes
