… Meets with League of Imams in Egbaland
As activities towards the general elections gather momentum,the Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Ogun central Senatorial district,Salisu Shuaib seems to be setting agenda for the 10th National Assembly as he called for critical review in the polity to address some of the challenges impeding national growth and development
He made the call shortly after an engagement with League of Imams from the six local government areas that make up the Ogun central Senatorial district of the state where he solicited for their understanding towards ensuring victory for the APC and its candidates across the country
While assuring them of better days ahead if APC candidates are voted at National and state levels,he also sought the prayers of religious leaders to ensure a hitch free general election.
Salisu, who was optimistic of his emergence, pledged that his representation will not only bring goodwill to Ogun Central, but will equally result in the development of the southwestern state.
He said he would work in synergy with other lawmakers from Lagos to establish the Southwest Developing Commission to engineer infrastructural development in the region.
His words, “Ogun Central is my primary constituency. In terms of infrastructure, we have to make a special case for Ogun Central. For instance, the Niger/Delta region has the Niger/Delta Development Commission also in the North / East. The SouthWest, especially Ogun and Lagos States that provides the bulk of tax revenue to the federal government.
