A House of Assembly Candidate in Abeokuta North Local Government, Ogun State, Dr. Prince Tunde Tella has trained over hundred youths and women on skills acquisition in the local government.
The women and the youths were trained on the following, Organic soaps and cream, Maize production and marketing, vegetables production and marketing ,Catering , make-up and Gele, quite a lot more.
The training was organized by Grassroots Benefactor Hope Movement and sponsored by Hon. Dr. Prince Tunde Tella.
While speaking during the presentation of certificates to beneficiaries , that the empowerment was meant to improve on the livelihood of the beneficiaries.
He maintained that the essence of the training was to enable them to have another source of living which by extension, would help alleviate poverty.
He said "In politics, it is not always good for you not to have something doing . This is to keep our people busy and empower them so that at the end of the day, they will have a second address.
"The current APC administration in Abeokuta North don't want our people not to have second address, that's the main purpose of this programme.
"This will be a benefit to the people and it will go a long way.
Tella promised that all the participants' names will be documented for proper consideration in nearest future.
The Director of , Grassroots Benefactor Hope Movement, Mr Fatai informed that the project basically is for the participants to be economically empowered
Fatai therefore advised the beneficiaries of the project to use the skills they had learnt as another source of income.
The chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Abeokuta North Local Government, Alhaja Faidat ably represented by his vice, Alhaji Saba admonished the participants to make use of the acquired skills to better themselves.
Alhaja Faidat therefore urged them to vote for all the APC candidates from top to bottom in order for them to benefit more from the government.
