OGUN DCS, OTHERS EULOGISE LATE MINISTRY OF INFORMATION PHOTOGRAPHER

Ogun State Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) to the Governor, Dr. Toyin Taiwo has described Late Adetunji Onabanjo as a dutiful and dedicated officer, who has contributed immensely to Service of the State.

Late Onabanjo was a Chief Photographer in the Ministry of Information and Strategy attached to the Office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor.

Dr. Taiwo, who made this known after a Funeral Service held in honour of the deceased at the Living Faith Church, Quarry Road, Abeokuta, said his death was a great loss to the office, family, friends and associates, adding that “his demise was a severe blow to the office where he worked”. He prayed for the repose of his soul and protection of his family.

Also in his tribute, a former Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Shuaib Salisu, whom the deceased worked closely with said his death had created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill due to his diligence and hardwork.

Alhaji Salisu condoled with Onabanjo’s family to take solace in God, saying  “the deceased left indelible memories in the heart of many that crossed his path while on earth as Ogun State Civil Service has been deprived of the services of a torch bearer of excellence”.

On his part, the Ogun State Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro said Late Onabanjo was a loyal and steadfast officer who displayed a high sense of responsibility during his lifetime. He noted that his demise would be hard to bear, praying to God to grant him eternal rest.

Earlier in his sermon, the Resident Pastor of the Church, Pastor Oluwole Samuel reminded mortals to live a virtuous life that would guarantee them eternal rest, saying ”there is judgment after death”.

Pastor Samuel, who quoted Mark 6:36 and Matthew 25:20 maintained that it was profitable for the living to identify and make effective use of their talents to glorify God and impact humanity.

Other dignitaries present at the funeral service include, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji AbdulWaheed Odusile, Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Barr. Olubukunola Onabanjo, Permanent Secretaries, Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration, as well as Ministry Information and Strategy, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya and Alhaji Waheed Adesina respectively, among others.
