Ogun State Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe said the newly commissioned African Quality Assurance Centre (AQAC) in Sagamu by President Muhammadu Buhari would change the face of exportation in the State.

Longe, who made this known after the commissioning, stated that the Centre would be an advantage to exporters within and outside Nigeria, with a higher impact on the Ease of Doing Business and the State Special AgroIndustrial Processing Zone (SAPZ), as well as the agro-cargo airport projects of the present administration.

 The Commissioner added that the project which was constructed by the African Export-Import (Afrexim) Bank and operated by the Bureau Veritas would boost non-oil export, open up the State for more investments and strengthen its drive to become Nigeria's export hub.

According to her, ‘’the location of the first AQAC in Ogun State is a further attestation of the State's position as investors' preferred destination, as the State is now well positioned to continue to dominate the investment and industrial sectors in the country’’.

Noting its advantage in the area of agriculture, Longe said the Centre would open up windows of opportunity for farmers on soil testing, organic analysis, and certification, as well as provide capacity building, which would in turn improve the quality and quantity of produce yield and export while creating thousands of jobs for residents.
