The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, (NAWOJ), Ogun State Chapter has honoured a foremost Information Officer and Deputy Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Ogun Ministry of information and Strategy, Mrs. Toluwalope Layade Kowo for being a staunch supporter of the association and her compliance with the Yoruba Cultural Heritage.
The awards night was a culmination of a week-long programme by the Ogun Nawoj Chapter, to commemorate her annual Press Week celebrations.
While presenting the awards at the Gala and Award night held at the bouquet hall of the Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, Chairman of the Nawoj Press week Committee, Mrs Morenikeji Sobaloju noted that Mrs Kowo was a woman who has paid her dues on the job, propagating the programmes and activities of government while she is an acclaimed clotheshorse among the women journalist.
After receiving the awards, Mrs Toluwalope Layade Kowo expressed her appreciation to the Association saying "I'm elated by this award. I thank you for finding me worthy of this award and I will continue to contribute my quota where and when necessary to further move our great association to greater heights"
Kowo commended the the Excecutive members of the association led by the chairperson, Mrs Modupeola Shobukola and the Press Week planning Committee for the honour.
