In his usual annual character, the Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun MFR on OGWAMA, Otunba Abiodun Odutayo (Iwogbe) has commenced his annual distribution of Christmas packages to Constituents of Ijebu North State Constituency II comprising of Ago-Iwoye, Oru Awa Ilaporu and its environs.
According to him, the gesture is not new especially as such distribution of souvenir is done at every festive occasion. He furthered that the essence of the season is to share gifts and other soul-suiting items which is what the birth of Jesus Christ represents.
"The birth of Christ Jesus signalled a renewed hope at the time the world was in despair, his birth was ushered in with gifts from the three wise men who were the first to pay him a visit in the manger, hence we must key into this and for this reason I have consciously take it as a sense of responsibility to ensure our people feels the impact of the season. Mine might not be much and I am sure my leaders will also toe the part", he said.
While celebrating with Christians around the State on the occasion of the Christmas, Odutayo called for a moderate and decent celebration. He prayed that everyone will have a reason to be celebrated as the year runs to an end.
