In a bid to have a more secured State, where people can work and play, a total of N23,389,264,238.67 has been appropriated to Security in Ogun State, representing five percent out of N472,250,694,447.58 of the total budget proposal for year 2023.

 Presenting the budget before the State House of Assembly members, the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun said Ogun is one of the safest States in southwest considering the effort so far made by the government towards ensuring safety of lives and property, through the establishment of the State security outfit known as ‘Amotekun’, procurement of armored vehicles and host of others.

Abiodun stressed that for a State to be economically vibrant, social well-being of the people must be guaranteed.

Responding, the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo lauded the Governor for ensuring that dividends of democracy get to all and sundry.
