Residents of Sagamu Local Government Area have applauded Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for fulfilling his promise on the reconstruction of Oba Erinwole road, which has been in a deplorable condition before the inception of his administration.
Lending his voice, the Chairman, Coleman Wire and Cables, Asiwaju Solomon Onafowokan said the intervention would address the challenge of flooding and improve inter-state travels to Lagos and other parts of the country, adding that ‘’the present administration has continued to prove itself as a promise-keeping government".
Also speaking, the President, Sagamites Club, Mr. Abayomi Abdulwaheeed stated the road had been in a terrible condition for over a decade, as motorists and road users were affected before its reconstruction.
Abayomi lauded the government for the strength, courage and financial resources to implement various infrastructural projects across the State, assuring that the residents would continue to support to further achieve the present administration’s vision.
On his part, The Sagamu Youth President, Comrade Segun Okeowo, said provision of road infrastructure was essential to the socio-economic development of a society, noting that the road would enhance business activities in the area, while those in the transport sector would be relieved of expenses incurred in the past.
