The newly inaugurated Deputy Senate President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS National body) Comrade Ekundina Segun Elvis has shown his appreciation to all Senators, stakeholders,  leaders, cadres and most importantly,  the entirety of Nigerian Students for giving him and all other executives the mandate to serve the students body at the National level. 

This was contained in a statement he made available to the press after the inauguration ceremony of the newly leadership of NANS led by Comrade Umar Usman Barambu. 

He stated that the new leadership of the  Association will work accidiously with all necessary stakeholders in the educational sectors to ensure that Nigerian Students have access to affordable and quality education.

Comrade Elvis also assured Nigerian students across the country and diaspora to anticipate  a regime that would  defend their interest optimally and endure that students enjoy all-round welfarism across their various  campuses. 

He also stated the numerous giant strides of this new leadership in the aspect of emancipation of the educational sector. "Part of the successful agitation we were able to have  was the issue of the 8 months ASUU strike that we were able to bring to an end " - Comrade Elvis said.

I also want to use this medium to call on my fellow National officers of our highly esteemed and distinguish association (NANS) both at the level of the executive and legislative to see this as a call to duty by Nigerian students. I'll implore each and every one of us to work in synergy to achieve the unachievable during this administration - He concluded
