The Ogun State Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro has described the sudden death of a worker in the Ogun State Civil Service, Mr. Adetunji Onabanjo, as a rude shock to him and the service in general.
Dr. Aigoro who expressed the shock while on a condolence visit to the family of the deceased at his Laderin residence in Abeokuta, described Late Onabanjo as a jovial person while alive.
According to him, God cannot be questioned in Mr. Onabanjo's death because He does things in diverse ways and the only thing expected of human beings is to always give thanks to Him in all things.
"Rest in perfect peace, Tunji" Dr. Aigoro wrote in the condolence register.
Receiving the HoS and his entourage, an elder in the family, Mr. Yomi Shorunmu appreciated the Ogun State Head of Service, the Permanent Secretaries and the the entire workforce for the honour done the family by visiting as this took them by surprise.
He expressed delight that the deceased was able to settle with his maker before he passed on, and that's the consolation that the family has.
The Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, and his counterparts from the Bureaux of Government House and General Services, Mr. Samsideen Adenopo and that of Protocols and Ceremonials, Mr. Moses Adebayo joined the Head of Service on the visit.
Until his death, Mr. Adetunji Onabanjo was a staff of the Ministry of Information and Strategy.
