A frontline politician and business man, Dr. Lateef Oluwafemi Adedamola Adeshina, popularly known as Asiwaju has been conferred with honorary doctorate degree award (honoris cousa) in politics, human resources management and corporate governance by the  British American University Florida, BAU

The award conferment took place on Saturday at Obasanjo Library, Okemosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

President/ Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Muhammad Omolaja, while presenting the award to Dr. Adedamola said that the awardee has made Nigerian proud , saying that his contribution to the society can not be undermined.

He described the awardee as  highly qualified, distinguished Nigerian whose eminence in his respective endeavours cannot be questioned.

According to him, Dr. Adedamola has  been found worthy both in learning and character as he has been resolute in his academic pursuit throughout his studies

In his remarks, Dr. Adedamola expressed happiness over the doctorate degree  bestowed on him.

He submitted that he was thrilled to bag a doctorate degree in BAU.

"It is one of the most meaningful achievement that am proud of and one that I will cherish for a very long time to come,” 

He added that it was pertinent to emphasize on the quality of teaching and research in Nigeria’s universities as it affected the quality of graduates from  universities in Nigeria.

Dr. Adedamola said "I therefore urge Nigerian universities to ensure that the quality of the graduates produced compares with graduates produced from other universities globally''

He thanked the management of the institution for  recognizing him by giving him such a prestigious award, promising that he will always make them proud.

Dr. Adedamola appreciated his family an friends for their prayers and  immense support.
