Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has chosen Manchester United legend Paul Scholes as his favourite midfielder ahead of Chelsea legend Frank Lampard and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
Guardiola said he loves Scholes, adding that the former midfield maestro had everything during his playing days.
The Spaniard was quizzed about his verdict on the famous debate about who is the best midfielder among the former England midfielders.
Speaking to Ferdinand on Vibe with Five, Guardiola said: “All respect to Frank, to Steven, but Paul Scholes is my favourite one. I love it.
“I think he had everything but the other two, come on, Frank and Steven Gerrard changed this. Paul Scholes is my favourite.”
Scholes made 718 appearances for Man United, registering 155 goals during his career as a professional footballer.
