Civil/Public Servants should emulate the virtues of late Engr. Olanrewaju Bisiriyu, who has proven to be honest, responsible, reliable and humble during and after his sojourn in the service of the Ogun State.
The Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro made this known at the 8th Day Fidau Prayers held in honour of the deceased at Abeokuta Sports Club, Oke-Ilewo, saying he was a public administrator with a shining example of what makes the Service stand out.
Dr. Aigoro said as a former Head of Service, Engr. Bisiriyu displayed good character, teamwork and unquantifiable commitment that ensured a continued and efficient public service delivery.
According to him, ‘’as the workforce mourns his demise, the workers should learn from the life and times of the deceased because he lived a fulfilled life, which remains an example for us who are still alive’’.
Dr. Aigoro commiserated with the Bisiriyu’s family, Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries, other organisations, Islamic bodies, as well as the Ogun State Public Service for the irreparable loss.
In separate glowing tributes and prayers, the representatives of Surulere Oke-Odo Community in Abeokuta, the Esteemed Friends Circle, the Egba High School Old Students’ Association, the Nigeria Institute of Management, the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the Abeokuta Club, the Body of Permanent Secretaries, among others condoled with the deceased family and Ogun State Government.
