Ogun State Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Abayomi Hunye has tasked community leaders to be committed to the growth and development of their various communities.
Hunye said this in Abeokuta during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Executive Zonal Community Development Caretaker Committee who would serve for three months.
The Commissioner noted that the Committee was constituted to pilot the affairs of the various communities for a while, to make arrangements for a fresh election, saying “constitutionally, we can not operate in a vacuum that is why you have been chosen to manage the affairs of your various communities for three months’’.
He admonished the Committee members to ensure they operate peacefully with wisdom and apply maturity to avoid rancour among themselves.
In their responses, some of the Committee members, Comrades Oluwaseun Oke and Alhaji Quadri Adesina from Ewekoro and Odogbolu Local Government Areas assured that they would put in their best at making meaningful impact within their short period in office, appreciating the present administration for the opportunity to pilot the affairs of their communities.
