.....Confers ogun state music ambassador on general Kollington Ayinla
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has advised Nigerian youths to be consistent with whatsoever carer they choose so as to make a success of their lives.
Governor Abiodun gave the advice today in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, when he played host to the Fuji music maestro, General Kollington Ayinla, who came to present the governor copies of record waxed for his second term campaign.
The governor who commended the Musician for his consistency spanning over 50 years, chided the youth for not being patient and gradually developing themselves to stardom.
According to Prince Abiodun, "the problem we have these days with our youths is that they are not patient, they don't want to be patient, they don't want to be consistent, they don't want to be known for a particular thing.
"But you, general Kollington Ayinla, you are consistent with this chosen enterprise of yours. And because of that, you have been very successful. You have touched the lives of our citizens across the length and breath of this country. You have used music to teach the right morals and values", he said.
The governor lauded the renowned Fuji Musician for affecting many lives positively through training of many musicians, adding that his genre of music has been at the forefront of promoting the rich culture of not only the Yoruba, but Africans as a whole.
" You are a foremost musician, a promoter of our rich and diverse cultural heritage. You have done so in the past 50 years and we are so proud of you. You have fulfilled your destiny through music" the governor noted.
He said though the gesture was unsolicited and voluntary, it was an indication that people appreciate what his administration has done in less than four years.
Governor Abiodun thereafter, confered on the general Ayinla the Music Ambassador of Ogun State.
Speaking earlier, General Ayinla appreciated the governor for his efforts at transforming the fortune of the State through even distribution of projects across the State.
He informed that the waxing of the record was part of his own way of appreciating the governor for a job well done and his support for second term
