Yoruba group honors Omo Baba Tisa with award of excellence tagged “promoter of Yoruba culture”

 


Yoruba Afenifere Youth Organisation of Nigeria, YAYON has honored a popular  broadcaster in Southwest Nigeria, Dr. Adeyinka Adegbite, popularly known as Omo Baba Tisa with an award of excellence tagged “promoter of Yoruba Culture “


The group said that the award became necessary because of the  awardee ‘s commitment and efforts towards the promotion of Yoruba culture and values. 


The coordinator of the group, Mr Sodeinde Daniel said that the Yoruba Afenifere Youth of Nigeria is a legally registered organization from Ile-Ife , saying that Ọọni of ife is the organization Patron.


The presentation of the award held at the  organization guest hall of Omo-baba-tisa media network.


The coordinator added that  they were given mandate to get 20 important personalities in each state as OMO-BABA-TISA is the fourth person they are presenting the award to in Ogun state, adding that Ogun state special advicer on Agriculture is one of the Awardees.


Mr Daniel further said the Ọọni of ife will meet with the Awardee before the end of the year for expanciation of what is expected of them.


The coordinator  while presenting the award to him described Omo Baba Tisa as a unique man, saying that he has been a good ambassador of Yoruba culture and values.



He maintained that the broadcaster commitment to the preservation of cherished values of Yoruba is second to none.


He said ” in a bid to ensure sustainability of one of our major core values , which is to continue to encourage efforts of people who promote Yoruba culture. We the entire Yoruba Afenifere Youth Organisation of Nigeria, a worldwide recognized youth today honored  Omo Baba Tisa with an award of excellence tagged “promoter of Yoruba culture and values”


Dr. Adeyinka Adegbite Omo-baba-tisa expressed his profound gratitude for the recognition, advising the group to keep waxing stronger and prayed that Yoruba land will get to her promise land.


The awardee appreciated the honor, saying that this will encourage him to do more.


He promised to work with the Yoruba group to ensure ensure sustainability of Yoruba culture and values.
