Determined to get closer to taxpayers and enable them to meet all their tax responsibilities with ease in Atan Ota, Ado-Odo/ Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, the State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS), has opened a new tax office in Atan Ota axis, for improved Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
The Director, Field Operations, Mr. Hezekiah Sobayo, who led an enlightenment team to the axis, said the initiative was borne out of the desire to ensure prompt collection of Personal Income Tax, Property Taxes, Stamp Duty, Consumption Gain Tax, among other services.
In her remark, the Iyaloja of Atan Ota Market, Chief (Mrs.) Abosede Adegbola lauded the ingenuity of the agency for locating an office in the area, saying it would eliminate the stress being faced in the course of remitting their taxes and encourage more residents to pay.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Ogun State Parks Management, Agbara Igbesa area, Alhaji Kayode Folarin described the launch of the new office as a good idea, pledging the readiness of his members and continued support to the agency.
