Liverpool legend, Didi Hamann is uncomfortable with the club’s decision to sign Arthur Melo from Juventus on deadline day of the transfer window.
The former Red star questioned manager, Jurgen Klopp’s decision to sign the Brazilian.
The 26-year-old Brazilian midfielder, who joined Juventus from Barcelona in 2020, was deemed surplus to requirements in Turin; Klopp snapped him up on a season-long loan.
But Hamann feels that the Reds have made a mistake in signing the player, who according to him, would be unable to solve the club’s midfield issues.
I’m not too sure he’s the player they need.
“You know, he can play as a No.8 but he’s more of a holding player and I’m not too sure he’s a player that brings the best out of Liverpool,” Hamann told Sky Sports.
