Community leader, Olakunle donates thirteen lockup shops to market women in Ogun

 

 As part of activities marking his birthday, the Adele Oloko Of Orile-Oko, Remo North Local Government, Ogun State, High Chief Olakunle Olalekan on Friday donated thirteen lock up shops for the market women in the community.


It was an happy day for the market women in the community as many of them described the celebrant as a man of good virtues, saying that he has made them happy.


Olakunle who is also the Asiwaju of Orile Imo said he  donated  the lock up shops to support the government at the local government level and to give back to his community. 


The PCRC grand patron maintained that he was happy that he has fulfilled his  promise to the market Women that he would build lock up shops for them to replace the old one which is in bad condition.


He said” today I am the happiest man on earth because I have been able to give back to my community and made them happy by donating lock up shops to them. Today is my birthday and this gesture is part of activities to mark my birthday. Last year I empowered them in Orile Imo and this year I built lock up shops for them which I have consulted them before doing, this market is very important to us and we can not open our eyes and it looks this way that is why I decided to build another ones to replace the old ones here. I am also planning to do more for my people in the two communities I head.

“Part of my reasons  for doing this is also to support the government at the local level because government can not do it all alone , we have to support them. I have handed over shops to the local government so that they can maintain it well” he concluded


He appreciated the  Akarigbo of Remoland, OBA Babatunde Ajayi for the opportunity he gave him to lead the people of his  community well.


Asiwaju also appreciated the people of the community for their cooperation so far, urging them to support the current administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun, saying that the government has performed well.


The chairman planning committee, Ambassador Olasunkanmi Ijaduoye appreciated the guests for gracing the occasion.


He also commended Olakunle for bringing great development into the community, saying that the donation of lock up shops is not the only  kind gesture Olakunle has done.

Ijaduoye urged the market women to make proper use of the shops.


Meanwhile, the chairman of Aremo North Local Government, Prince Dapo Odunsi appreciated Olakunle for his good gesture to the residents of the community.


He lauded his efforts towards supporting the government at the local level, saying that man like him is rare.



Odunsi urged the market women to make proper use of the shops, saying that it is a great opportunity for them.


The event was well attended by the  executive chairman, Remo Northern Local Government, Hon. Prince Dapo Odunsi, his vice,  councilors , supervisors, Baales, Chiefs, the youths of Orile Imo and Orile-Oko, the PCRC executives, friends, well wishers  and all the residents of Orile-Imo, Obafemi Owode local government.
