The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun says no investment in education can be overrated, just as his administration is committed to ensuring qualitative and quantitative education for the State to retain its status as the education capital of Nigeria.

Abiodun made this known during the graduation ceremony of the scholarship programme of Nigeria University of Technology and Management (NUTM), Victoria Island, Lagos, noting that the programme would equip the young generation with the needed impetus to be the leaders of tomorrow, particularly the evolving skills in technology and management.

Represented by his deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the Governor reiterated that the State was open to the public-private partnership, saying the upliftment of the education sector should be a collective responsibility.

He congratulated the graduands, charging them to maximise the knowledge gained in the cause of the study for the development of the country.

In his address, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, represented by his Special Adviser on Innovation and Technology, Mr. Tunbosun Alake urged the graduands to be focused, cautious, bold, and see whatever challenges they encounter as stepping stones to greatness.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman, Governing Board, NUTM, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah implored them to impact positively on their communities, nation, and the world at large.

In his remark, the valedictorian and best graduating student for the class of 2022, Daniel Odediran, appreciated the school for imparting academic excellence to them, advising co-graduands to set goals and strive towards making them a reality.
