Media organisations in Ogun State have been advised to always balance their reportage and inform the populace about government activities for the development of the State.
The Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro gave the advice during a condolence visit by the management of Roots 97.1FM, a radio station based in Abeokuta, commending the station for its impactful programmes.
Dr. Aigoro appreciated the team for the condolence message on the demise of Mr. Adetunji Kanimodo, who was the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, praising the staff for their hard work, pedigree in the last three years, and their contributions to the State and humanity at large.
"You have done much in the past years, use your station to inform the populace and try to balance your reports. Relate more and work together with the Ministry of Information and Strategy on your proposed programmes that you want to use to showcase government activities in the State", the HoS said.
Speaking earlier, the General Manager of the station, Mr. Dele Ayodo said the team came to pay a condolence visit to the HoS on the demise of Mr. Kanimodo and to intimate him on the line-up programmes to celebrate the third anniversary of the station.
