Learners in Public Primary schools across Ogun State have been advised to adhere strictly to examination instructions, to excel in the ongoing 3rd Term 2021/2022 Unified Promotion Examination, which will determine their movement to the next class.
The Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Femi Majekodunmi gave the advice during a monitoring exercise to some schools in Ewekoro, Abeokuta North and Abeokuta South Local Government Areas.
Dr. Majekodunmi expressed satisfaction on the adequate preparation put in place, particularly the sitting arrangements of pupils, availability of examination materials and comfort of teachers.
“The motive behind the examination exercise is to ensure simultaneous participation of all learners in public primary schools and to determine their promotion to the next class”, the Chairman said.
He encouraged learners to be serious with their studies, be disciplined, law abiding and shun any act that would put their names in disrepute, commending them for dressing well and maintaining a serene environment.
In their separate remarks, the Headmistress of Abeokuta North Local Government Nursery and Primary School, Olomore, Mrs. Tosin Bankole and Headmaster of African Church Nursery and Primary School, Owowo, Ewekoro, Mr. Saka Oyeleke appreciated the government for the conduct of the examination and timely arrival of materials.
Other schools visited include, Owu Methodist Primary School, Amukankan, Oke-Sokori, Lisabi Model Nursery and Primary School I and II, Ita- Agemo, Igbeyin all in Abeokuta.
