A chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, Ogun State, Dr. Ololade Kehinde has congratulated the world-class sprinter and new world record holder, Tobi Amusan for winning gold in the Women’s 100m Hurdle at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA.
He hailed Amusan for his hard work and relentless efforts.
Ololade Kehinde who is also a lover of sports and patron of the Egba youth football championship noted that Tobi Amusan has made Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the residents of the state proud, saying that she will never be forgotten in the history of the state and Nigeria at large.
The party chieftain also congratulated Governor Abiodun for witnessing the great achievements. He called Abiodun a success attracting Governor.
The lover of sports urged her to turn her attention to the Commonwealth Games beginning on Thursday, July 28 where she’s also the defending champion.
Amusan broke her World Record twice in the early hours of today Monday blazing to a 12.12 seconds in the semifinals to break the Old World Record by 0.08s before breaking her own 12:12seconds record by blazing to a 12:06(+2.5) in the final.
She was crowned you as the champion of the world and become the first-ever Nigerian to win Gold at a World Championships.
