Liverpool sources have claimed that the Reds are happy with their transfer business this summer, as well as their overall squad, and will not be spending any more money or bringing anyone else into the club ahead of next season.
Despite this, sources in Italy have claimed that Jurgen Klopp’s side are ‘plotting’ a double swoop of Juventus for both Adrien Rabiot and Matthijs de Ligt, as they consider bolstering their options. Elsewhere, a fee has finally been agreed with Nottingham Forest for Neco Williams.
It has been understood that Liverpool are unlikely to bring in any more fresh faces this summer after being content with their transfer business so far, but the latest reports in Italy have suggested otherwise, with the Reds supposedly lining up a £102million double swoop.
As claimed by La Gazzetta Dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport, via Paisley Gates, Matthijs de Ligt and Adrien Rabiot are targets for Liverpool this summer, with the Reds being linked with a double swoop for the two Juventus players.
Liverpool have already been linked with a player-swap deal with the Serie A giants, involving Naby Keita and Rabiot, while there have also been previous reports of a potential move for De Ligt. However, both could now be on their way to Anfield.
Also, following the news that Liverpool have reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest to sign Neco Williams this summer, it has now been reported that the Premier League newcomers are set to pay just shy of £20million for the Welshman’s services.
That’s according to The Echo, who say that a figure of £17m has been agreed, with the Reds previously said to be holding out for £15m plus add-ons for the young right back. However, personal terms still need to be agreed with the player.
Williams enjoyed a successful loan spell at Fulham during the second half of last season and with Calvin Ramsay’s arrival on Merseyside this summer, it has allowed the Welsh international the opportunity to leave the club.
