An award winning councilor in Abeokuta North Local Government, Ogun State, Hon. Moruf Ajani Erubami has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of Asiwaju of Kogo land in Kogo village, ishaga- Orile by the Baale of Kogo town, Chief. S.O Adewusi.
It was a joyous day for the Councilor representing ward 15, as array of dignitaries from within and outside the state stormed the event to show him love and support.
Chief Adewusi while presenting the certificate of appointment to Erubami , described the new Asiwaju of Kogo land as a man of integrity, saying that he deserves the honor.
According to him, Erubami has a proven track record, and the people can attest to this fact. We are proud of him, and wish him goodness in all his endeavours. He is a good representative of the people, and we can only pray for him to go higher and higher.
Hon. Erubami is known to be a philanthropist and a grassroots politician who loves his community and his people.
The councilor has never failed his people. He has empowered Many of them and has done some many projects for the benefit of his constituents who he represents at the legislative house.
The lawmaker, who was excited with the honour, thanked those who deemed him fit for honour.
He pledged to continue to work round the clock in giving his people a voice.
Erubami noted that the honour showed that his constituents in in the community appreciated all he has been doing for them, especially since he has assumed office.
He assured his constituents that he would not relent in his efforts to serve the people of the constituency passionately.
The Councilor added that that the honour bestowed on him would be a wake-up call for him to do more for his people for the rest of his life.
Honourable members present were, Honourable Adebari Adesunkanmi, the deputy leader of Abeokuta North local government legislative Council, Hon. sanmi , Hon.lukmon Adeogun, portable, Hon. Moruf Salaudeen (mos) And Hon.Sunday.
Also present were the Adele Oba and chiefs, the welfare secretary and the deputy woman leader of the party
The deputy leader of the legislative house, Hon. Adebari who has been a partner in progress to Erubami said the chieftaincy title given to the Councilor is a testament to his popularity among his people and more importantly, in recognition of his charity activities aimed at socioeconomic development of his beloved hometown.
Other councilors described Erubami as a reliable man who deserved the honour.
