COMMISSIONER ADVOCATES ADVANCE PREPARATION FOR EXAMINATION SUCCESS

Students do not need to look for untoward alliance and assistance to pass, but involve in advance preparation and prayers, to enable them to do well in their examinations.

Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu made this known during a monitoring exercise of the National Examination Council (NECO), in the Abeokuta axis.

Arigbabu stated that examination malpractices among students were a result of their inability to plan,  saying “a student that fails to plan will plan to fail. I want you to put in your best and always pray to God to crown your efforts with success”.

The Commissioner, who highlighted the importance of NECO, noted that it is required of students to get outstanding results in the examination and other similar ones such as the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Arigbabu advised parents not to be close-minded to their wards sitting for the examination but rather encourage them on the best path to success, charging the students to embrace diligence, hard work and adequate preparedness.

He commended Principals of schools for the conducive environment, smooth organisation and seamless examination process.

Schools visited include, Ijemo Titun High School, GRA Ibara, Abeokuta Girls Grammar School, Onikolobo, African Church Grammar School (Private), Ita-Eko, Charis International College, Oke-Ata, Ansar-ud-Deen International College, Oke-Ata and Baptist Girls College, Idi-Aba all in Abeokuta.
