(Mrs), Noimat Salako-Oyedele hailing the Ministry female team after the presentation of trophy to the winner of the female category, at the MKO Abiola stadium, as part of the events marking the year 2022 public service day in Ogun.
The Ogun Deputy Governor, Engr. (Mrs) Noimat Salako-Oyedele and the State Head of Service (HoS), Dr. Nafiu Aigoro was in MKO Abiola stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta to watch football matches between the Ministry Team and Parastatal counterpart in commemoration of the public service day in the State.
In the female category, Ministry's team beats its counterpart from parastatal 3-2 in a penalty shoot out, after a goalless draw in 90 minutes of the match.
While in a male category, the Ministry's team also thrashed parastatal team with 2-1, the Ministry scored its first goal five minutes after starting the match, with equalizer came from the parastatal in 20 minutes after kicking off the game.
The winning goal scored by the Ministry's team ten minutes to end of the football match after a foul committed by the parastatal middle fielder, with award of free kick to the Ministry's team.
In their separate remarks, the deputy governor, urged the female football team to be more committed to their job, saying it is imperative to something keeping fit, as its part of work exercise.
Also, the HoS, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro, admonished the civil servants in the State, to be more performing exercise, so as to be more active intelligently in the course of their job.
"When you exercises your body, it will also results or improve your productivity at working place, there must be a time of work and there must be a time of play, that's why the public service day is set aside yearly, so as to exercise our bodies and keep fit", he said
At the end of the event, both gold and silver medals were awarded to the male and female winners categories and also the second runners, by the State's deputy governor and the State's head of service.
