No fewer than 200 Technical Officers in the Ogun State Civil Service have sat for proficiency examination, for them to attain a greater height to the post of Works Superintendence Cadre in their chosen career.

Speaking with newsmen while monitoring the examination at the Government Technical College, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, the Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi said the process is in line with the scheme of Service, to test the ability of qualified officers in their chosen profession.

    Odebunmi stated that despite the economic challenge in the country, the State government is trying to motivate, encourage and ensure inclusiveness in public service delivery, stressing that the technical officers were comprised of motor drivers, mechanics, among others.

   The Commission boss admonished Civil Servants to reciprocate the gesture by being diligent and honest at their various duty posts.

   The duo of participants, Mr. Adetunji Sowemimo and Mrs. Margret Sokeye appreciated the State government for creating the opportunity that would enable them to move higher in the Civil Service.
