Former Arsenal star, Jack Wilshere has advised the club against signing 2021/22 Champions League winner, Gareth Bale, this summer.

Wilshere believes Bale would not get a game at Arsenal if he joined the Gunners.

According to him, the Welsh international would even hold back Arsenal’s young players.

Bale is currently without a club after his departure from Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The former Tottenham Hotspur winger has been linked with a host of clubs in England.

Asked whether he would like Bale to join Arsenal, Wilshere told talkSPORT: “No.

“I look at the players who would be playing in that position and they are young players who have arguably been Arsenal’s best players over the last few years.

“So one, I don’t think he gets a game. And if he does, I think he’d be holding one of those players back.”
