Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has reacted to the outcome of the meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and governors of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Sani said Buhari and the APC governors should allow the Southern part of Nigeria to produce the party’s presidential candidate.
In a tweet, the former lawmaker said Buhari and APC governors should respect their gentleman agreement and allow a Southern candidate emerge as the party’s candidate.
He wrote: “The president and the ruling party Governors should honour their ‘gentleman agreement’ and allow for a southern candidate to emerge.
It was earlier reported that Buhari asked APC governors to allow him pick the party’s presidential candidate.
Buhari made the call during his meeting with the governors yesterday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
