The Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu said with the level of government’s effort towards the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), the overall percentage will improve considerably compared to time past.
Arigbabu stated this when he led the management team of his Ministry to monitor the examination in Abeokuta area, pointing out that the government had put in place measures that would advance teaching and learning activities, as the intervention would restore and sustain the standard of education in the State.
The Commissioner added that the preparation put in place was in order, with students diligently doing their examination without any interference, saying “we are quite confident that with learners’ seriousness, they will come out successful. Our learners have comported themselves from what we can see and I want to advise them to rely on their abilities and shun untoward practices that will bring shame to them”.
The team visited, Rev. Kuti Memorial Grammar School, Isabo, Abeokuta Grammar School, Government Science and Technical College, Idi-Aba, and Premier Grammar School, Lanfewa.
