Real Madrid could be without David Alaba when they host Manchester City in the Champions League semi-final second leg tie at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to Marca, Real Madrid will be without their key defender Alaba for Wednesday’s crucial Champions League match against Manchester City due to injury.
Alaba could not play in Real Madrid’s LaLiga title-winning victory over Espanyol on Saturday and also missed his side’s most recent training session ahead of the Man City clash.
The former Bayern Munich star has suffered a fibrillar rupture, but the timeline for his return is not yet known.
Nacho Fernandez is set to replace him in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XI, but the Spaniard’s aerial ability leaves a lot to be desired.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid lost 4-3 against Pep Guardiola’s side in the first leg at Etihad Stadium last week.
