Hon. Fasuwa Johnson, popularly known as Yomi FAJ has greeted the Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
The assembly member disclosed this in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta.
He asked Muslims and Nigerians to celebrate the festive period with love and unity.
Yomi FAJ submitted that the festive period is also a time for sober reflection on the virtues of forgiveness, kindness and good neighborliness.
He said, “I congratulate and greet our brothers and sisters who have observed the Ramadan which is a period of abstinence, sacrifice, and deep devotion. The goals of all faiths are to make us better human beings who love the Almighty and also love mankind.
"Eid-el-Fitri is thus a celebration of all we hold dear: mercy, hope, love, and respect for one another irrespective of our differences.”
He asked Muslims to continue to uphold the ideals of piety, patience, tolerance, perseverance, humility and self denial which were observed vigorously during the month of Ramadan.
Yomi FAJ called on the people of ogun state to use the period to pray for Prince Dapo Abiodun so that he can achieve his second term ambition.
