Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has said they won this year’s Champions League trophy because the players were full of belief.
Ancelotti admitted he had doubts about their fairy tale run, after they saw off Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester City in previous rounds.
However, he reveals the players remained confident ahead of the clash with Jurgen Klopp’s men who were chasing the Treble.
Ancelotti, who was speaking to reporters, said: “I had doubts throughout this run. But the players believed, believed, believed.
Yes, Liverpool had shots, but I thought we had a good game tactically.”
The Italian became the first coach in history to win the Champions League four times.
