The chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Abeokuta North Local Government, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi has debunked rumor making rounds that she has been running the affairs of the party with impunity and nepotism, saying that it is false, baseless, unfounded and misleading.
She also refuted the claim that she has been visiting some party leaders in the local government to solicit support for some aspirants.
Recall that yesterday a group known as concerned citizens of Abeokuta North wrote a letter to the governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun through some online media, accusing Alhaja Faidat Sarumi of running the affairs of the party with impunity and nepotism.
The group also claimed that Alhaja Faidat Sarumi has been rooting for the former caretaker chairman, Babatunde Tella from Oke-Ogun for the Assembly seat,and Hon.Olumide Osoba for house of representatives.
Faidat in a statement personally signed by her and made available to newsmen yesterday said her enemies in the local are responsible for the untrue news about her.
She said'' I hereby debunk the rumor making rounds that I have been running the affairs of the party with impunity and nepotism. It is a false news about me , my enemies are responsible for the false allegation against me, they are not happy the way have been working for the progress of the party, I want to urge the public to disregard the false news about me''
The former local government chairman urged the residents of the local government and members of the party to disregard the rumor, saying that it is untrue story about.
She maintained that her primary purpose now is to ensure the re-election of Prince Dapo Abiodun, calling on the residents of the local government to support Governor Abiodun for second term.
