President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, has reacted to reports that the Director-General of the Bola Tinubu Campaign Organization, Abdulmumin Jibrin would dump the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Ahmad expressed the confidence that Jibrin would not dump the APC for any other political party.
Recall that the former House of Representatives member representing Kiru and Bebeji Local Government Areas said he would leave APC.
Kofa made the announcement on his Facebook page on Saturday.
The former lawmaker said he would announce his new party within the next 24 hours.
According to him “I have given the APC all the contribution I can, so it’s now a time for me to move forward. I will announce my new party in the next 24 hours.
I will make a formal statement in due course,” he wrote.
There are speculations that Jibrin’s decision to dump APC was due to a misunderstanding between him and relevant stakeholders of the party in Kano State including Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Reacting, Ahmad said APC would engage him and resolve all issues that have made him unstable.
Ahmad tweeted: “I am confident Honorable Abdulmumin Jibrin is not leaving us, the APC state chapter in Kano will engage him and find a way to resolve the issue he has with party at the lower level. We are family.”
