LAND ACQUISITION: OGUN DG LANDS HARPS ON SUSTAINABLE RELATIONSHIP FOR DEVELOPMENT

 


The Special Adviser and Director-General, Bureau of Lands and Survey, Ogun State, Mr. Aina Salami has stressed the need for a sustained harmonious relationship between government and the people whose property were acquired for development purpose.


This he said is necessary in order to facilitate more development and even distribution of dividends of democracy in the State.


          Speaking during a town hall meeting with indigenes of Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of the State, at the council’s secretariat, Salami noted that for a meaningful development to take place in the area, the people have to make sacrifices by surrendering their lands for development.


The Special Adviser promised that the government would provide more link roads across cities and health centres, among other social amenities for the use of the people, seeking the support and cooperation of the citizenry to enable the State attain an enviable position among its peers in the country.


“Everyone will be sorted out by the State government accordingly, we are partners in progress in making our dear State a better place and investors friendly”, Salami said.


 In his contribution, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Ijebu-Ode constituency, Hon. Kemi Oduwole enjoined residents of the area to join hands with the present administration by releasing their land for developmental agenda, in order to attract more investors, which would better the lot of the people, assuring that they would be duly compensated.


Responding, Lamodi of Isiwo, Oba Sikiru Salisu and Aladeken of Oke Ako, Oba Joshua Osunsanmi, appreciated the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration for creating enabling environment for investors, promising their support and appealed to the government to ensure that investors abide by the principle of Corporate Social Responsibility.
