The Chairman, Yewa South Local Government (YSLG), Hon. Lateef Salami has installed street lights covering more than 500 meters at Ona-Ola community in Ilaro, and graded some roads to ease vehicular movement.
Hon Salami made this known during an interview with OGIS correspondent in Ilaro, noting that apart from illuminating the community at night, the street lights would also engender effective security of lives and property in the area.
He pointed out that the installation which comprises electricity and solar light was done to fulfil part of his electoral promises made to the community during his electioneering campaign.
"The installation of the street light was done to illuminate the street of the community, especially at night and to enhance the security of lives and property. Sincerely, it's an act of fulfilling one of the electioneering promises made during my political campaign. Our people should be expecting more dividend of democracy from this administration soon", Salami said.
The Chairman stated that his administration had put in place a culvert at Oju-Okeke junction for easy movement of vehicles, adding that grading of some community roads was ongoing.
The Council Boss enjoined people of the Local Government and its environs to continue to support and pray for his administration, urging them to live in peace with one another and be their brothers' keeper with a call not to relent at given Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration the necessary cooperation needed towards achieving more successes across the three Senatorial Districts of the State.
